Nobody panic we’re not going to switch languages and I won’t make you learn Latin to keep reading my thoughts! I only know enough to be dangerous and only because I’ve been trying to stay aware of what my kids are saying since they are learning Latin in school (public service announcement: I’m losing that battle).
Instead, the title of this post is the name of something new and exciting I’m involved in. I’ll be sharing more details in the future (This is just something I’m spending my weekends dabbling in.). But I’m creating this post simply as a placeholder. I’m swamped right now with everything going on in life and there’s so much to do and so little time to do it in that I’ve neglected taking the time to write out my thoughts for you! I apologize for keeping you in the dark.
What it means.
I guess even if this is merely the placeholder for what I will share more details on later I can at least explain the name to you. In case you haven’t already run off and done your own internet search (or asked your children) here’s what the name means:
Sine Qua Non: noun, An essential condition; a thing that is absolutely necessary.
Pretty cool right? A thing which is absolutely necessary. But I get that the name doesn’t just roll off the tongue and admittedly it’s a bit long to remember or even to type into a browser for a URL. So instead we’re abbreviating it to something shorter and easier: SQN. And we’re pronouncing it “Sequin”.
I hope this piques your interest just a little and you’ll stay tuned to my thoughts as I share more info with you about what SQN does and how it offers what I believe is the best and most strategic plan as we undertake this Web 2 to Web 3 transition.
