David Hurley (also known as DB Hurley) is the founder of Cumulative Systems. Cumulative saves a model's own internal working state and reloads it directly, including across different models. A provisional patent, Systems and Methods for Persistent Shared Computational State Across Heterogeneous Neural Models, was filed on September 10, 2026. He also builds Pantasso, governed company context, Plasmate, an agent-readable web, and ppl, a personal relationship manager at https://withppl.com. He created the Semantic Object Model (SOM) and authored the Adaptive Convergence Protocol (ACP) framework for self-evolving AI agents. His work spans production agent infrastructure, agent-web interaction, token economics, and the transition from SaaS to service-as-software business models.

Previously founded Mautic, the first open source marketing automation platform (millions of installations, acquired by Acquia in 2019). Has built 40+ ventures across AI, infrastructure, finance, education, and creative tools. Participates in the W3C Web Content for Browser and AI Community Group. Published 11 open-access works in 2026 spanning research and benchmark reports, a working paper, specifications, proposals, position papers, and a framework paper.
